Door and Window Hinges

Door/window hinges play a pivotal role in making the opening and closing of doors,windows, an easy task. Butt hinges

Butt hinge is a kind of hinge used in hanging doors, lid, covers, etc. so named because fastened on the edge of the door, which butts against the frame, stop molding, and casing, instead of on its face, like the strap hinge. They are very strong but cannot be adjusted once they are fitted.

Pin hinges

They are alike to butt hinges, but the central pin can be removed so that the two can be individually fixed one to the frame and the other to the shutter.

Parliament hinges

A hinge with so great a projection (as from a wall or frame) as to allow a door or shutter to swing back flat against the wall

Garnet hinges

They are also known as T hinge in which short arm is screwed to the door frame. They are generally used for ledged and battened doors.

Counter flap hinges

Designed to lie flat when in use, the counter flap hinge allows a gap in a bar or countertop to be hinged upwards.

Strap hinges

A strap hinge is a type of hinge that has two long flaps which are generally triangular in shape; one strap is screwed into the surface of a moving part, such as a door or gate, and the other into the adjacent stationary surface. The long flaps of the strap hinges provide added stability for the door or gate. Strap hinges are typically used for door hinges (such as barn doors, shed doors, and garage doors), gate hinges, and cabinet hinges, and are meant to be seen.

Spring hinges

Residential Spring Hinges also known as "self-closing" hinges, or adjustable spring hinges.  These hinges are great to use on the door leading to your garage as they will help to keep your door closed.

Rising butt hinges

Rising butt hinges are a special type of door hinge that lifts the door slightly as it is opened. This type of door will have no gap at the bottom when closed but will lift over thick floor coverings on the opening side. Rising butt hinges are only suitable for use with wooden doors, and are best used in certain applications.

Door and Window Bolts

Bolts are a common fixture to doors and windows and are available in aluminium, brass or mild steel.

Tower Bolts are commonly used on doors and windows and are available in aluminium, steel and brass.

Sliding door bolts are used for doors where padlocks are used.

Flush bolts are used for cupboards and sliding windows for bolting the shutter flush with the exterior surface.
